About Caden
Caden Ferraro arrives at Texas Tech after a standout run at Blinn College, where he manned the mound, first base, and outfield with equal skill. The left-hander and heavy hitter committed to Texas Tech in November 2024.
At Blinn, Caden has been a formidable two-way threat. Early in the 2025 season, he posted a scorching .526 batting average with four doubles, a triple, two home runs, and seven RBIs over just 19 at-bats. On the mound, he offers a lefty arm with a high slot delivery, sharp curveball, and firm changeup, all showing strong pitchability.
Previously at Pearland High School, Ferraro made his mark as a top-tier lefty prospect. He stood 6'2" and 195 lbs, with scouts praising his whippy arm action on the mound and raw strength at the plate. His fastball reached into the mid-80s, and he demonstrated a feel for multiple pitches. Offensively, his bat-to-ball skill produced loft, backspin, and frequent extra-base hits.
Known for his versatility, competitive fire, and frame that projects well at the Division I level, Caden adds depth to Texas Tech’s pitching and corner hitting rotation. His combination of athleticism and arm talent aligns perfectly with Coach Tim Tadlock’s development path for high-impact two-way contributors.
Off the field, Ferraro is a dedicated student-athlete with aspirations in areas like business or sports management, and he’s eager to embrace the culture and community at Texas Tech.
