About Gemma

Gemma Núñez brings top-tier playmaking and defensive instincts to the Lady Raiders after three seasons at Campbell, where she emerged as one of the nation’s most efficient and versatile guards. In 2024–25, Núñez started all 35 games, averaging 7.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and an impressive 6.2 assists per contest. She ranked eighth in the country in assists per game and fourth in total assists with 217, while also recording over 70 steals.


She earned All CAA Second Team and All CAA Defensive Team honors, alongside a WNIT appearance and a player of the week accolade. Notable performances included registering double-digit assists on four occasions and contributing double-digit rebounds in three outings.


A true floor general, Núñez is known for her exceptional court vision, defensive pressure, and ability to fill the stat sheet across multiple categories. She’s the first transfer commit for Texas Tech’s 2025 class, immediately providing experience and leadership at the guard position.


Off the court, Gemma brings international flair and a strong work ethic to Lubbock. She majored in Exercise Science with a minor in Sport Business at Campbell and has represented Spain in youth national team competitions.
