About Temitope
Temitope “Temi” Adeshina has quickly become one of the premier high jumpers in NCAA competition. In her freshman indoor season she claimed the Big 12 championship and tied for the NCAA Indoor title with a leap of 1.94 m, marking the second highest clearance in Texas Tech history.
In her first outdoor campaign she continued her dominant form, winning both indoor and outdoor Big 12 titles. She placed third at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships with a jump of 1.97 m and repeated that mark to win the 2025 Big 12 Outdoor Championship.
Temi represents Nigeria on the global stage, earning back-to-back national high jump titles from 2022 to 2024, securing silver at the 2022 and 2024 African Championships, and competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her personal best of 1.97 m is also the Nigerian indoor record.
Known for her smooth technique, competitive toughness, and consistency, Temi has made history at Texas Tech, including setting a school meet record of 1.97 m at the Big 12 finals.
Off the field, she plans to pursue a degree in Exercise Science while balancing academic goals with elite athletic performance. As one of the brightest stars in the Red Raiders’ jumps program, Temitope Adeshina continues to scale new heights for both herself and the team.
