Incoming freshman Carty Kingsbury has known for years that Texas Tech is where she wants to be. The Lady Raider Midfielder declared for TTU as a freshman at Windsor High School in Orchard, Colorado. The decision was an easy one for the Colorado native: she was drawn to Tech after attending a camp here and getting to experience the athletic program and the school.

As a Lady Raider, Kingsbury will be joining one of the most successful collegiate soccer programs in the nation. She’ll be bringing with her an aggressive defense, high-scoring capabilities, and the ability to read the field. At Tech, she will major in Human Sciences, with concentrations in Nutrition and Human Development and Family Studies.

When Carty isn’t on the field or in the classroom, she loves spending time with family and friends, riding horses, and attending the National Finals Rodeo. As a Dark Horse Ambassador, she’s excited to partner with any local charities, but she’d love to work with an organization that supports children with visual impairments.
