Texas Tech Defensive Tackle Philip Blidi has made a home for himself in Raiderland all the way from Trenton, New Jersey. Among many D1 offers, Blidi committed to TTU early on, saying he fell in love with the atmosphere of West Texas and how the community takes care of one another.

Now a junior, Blidi has had a successful career with the Red Raiders, amassing a long list of season highlights in his first two years with the football program. He’s come a long way since his favorite sports memory – his first ever touchdown in high school. Blidi is majoring in Kinesiology during his time at Texas Tech. 

When he’s not on the field, Blidi enjoys taking his daughter to the park, cooking dinner, and spending time with family. As a Dark Horse Ambassador, he hopes to work with children and young parents. He also has hopes of partnering with local car dealerships and restaurants.
